PAUL EDWARD HEWITT began as a master tailor close to London, United Kingdom, in the early 20th century. Love took him out of London and he emigrated to Oldenburg, Northern Germany, after falling for a young lady from the Prussian-Friesian region. He became successful in his newly selected home with the opening a menswear shop that offered a combination of British gentlemen‘s style and Northern German appreciation for quality. One hundred years later, his great-grandson, while attending university, scanned through the family tree to find inspiration for founding his own watch, jewelry and accessories brand. He decided to follow the tradition of his ancestors and form unique products with a nautical origin, and the PAUL HEWITT brand was born.
